Funeral Home

Our funeral home in Kingscourt provides a private and respectful setting for reposing, gatherings and family visits. The facilities are designed to support both private family time and public services in a calm, dignified environment.

Designed by Niall Smith Architects, our beautiful service room is suitable for services for all religious and non-religious funerals. Our room is equipped with a state of the art sound system and has the capacity to comfortably accommodate up to 75 people at any given time.

A Place for Reposing and Services

The funeral home offers suitable spaces for reposing, allowing families and friends to pay their respects in a quiet and comfortable setting. Reposing can be arranged privately or publicly, depending on family wishes.

Funeral services may also take place at the funeral home. We will guide families on what is suitable and ensure all arrangements are managed with care and discretion.

Facilities and Accessibility

The building is designed to be welcoming and practical, with:

  • Dedicated reposing rooms

  • Family areas for private time

  • Accessible facilities

  • Convenient parking

We aim to ensure that all visitors, including those with mobility needs, can attend comfortably.

Flexibility and Choice

Reposing and committal services can take place at the funeral home, the family home, a church, crematorium or another suitable venue. We will discuss the options available and help you decide what best suits your family’s wishes and circumstances.

Supporting Families

Our role is to manage the practical arrangements while providing a calm, respectful presence throughout. Families are welcome to view the funeral home in advance or discuss arrangements by phone if preferred.

Committal Ceremonies at our Funeral Home

In some cases, families may choose to hold the funeral service in a church and then have the committal ceremony at our funeral home. This allows family and friends to gather again for a final farewell without the need to travel to a crematorium.

The committal ceremony can include music, prayers, readings or songs, following a format similar to a traditional cremation service. After the ceremony, mourners can proceed directly to the after-funeral meal, while we take care of bringing your loved one to the crematorium privately.

This option can be particularly suitable where travel distances are long or where families wish to keep the day more contained and accessible.

Use of the Funeral Home – Service Charge

Families often ask about the service charge for use of the funeral home facilities. A flat, once-off fee of €325 applies for the duration of the funeral.

This service charge includes full use of the kitchen, family room and off-street parking. Catering or light refreshments can be arranged within the funeral home at an additional cost, or families may choose to organise this themselves with the support of family and friends.
